Life’s Detour

When I was 26, I was supposed to live in another country with somebody, but we didn’t get along with the living arrangements so I didn’t push through. I felt I was a coward. I was haunted by years of “what ifs” until I finally got my answer last year. I was finally convinced why we wouldn’t hit off.  But it haunted me for years even when I was in graduate school etc. So the lesson: if something doesn’t hit off in the past it’s for the best in the long run.  Of course human nature, I hated it when something doesn’t come my way.  But life has ways of showing why some things or relationships don’t work out at all. It took me ten years to be convinced why we wouldn’t hit off. But it served a valuable lesson to me of letting things work out as is and trust it’s for the best in the long run.
